Marion County detectives have arrested two members of a criminal street gang, after the pair advertised themselves on Facebook.
Felony fugitive and gang members Mario Daniel McDonald, 23 and Joseph Wayne Edwards, 27, were spotted by investigators with Facebook profiles, each with photographs holding a shotgun.
Investigators say, McDonald and Edwards are reportedly members of the Crazy White Boys Criminal Street Gang.
Detectives began their investigation on May 10 and were able to arrest McDonald and Edwards on May 20.
“The still images attached to these Facebook accounts promote and further the interests of the criminal street gang,” said Captain James Pogue, Marion County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer. The images show the suspects committing criminal activity, in this case: possession of a firearm by convicted felons.”
