ICON Park Honors First Responders on 20th Anniversary of 9/11

In remembrance of the 20th anniversary of 9/11, ICON Park is honoring the first responders who work endlessly every day to keep our communities safe.

September 10th-12th, police officers, firefighters and paramedics will be able to ride ICON Park’s signature attraction, The Wheel, for free to show appreciation for their service. Also, families of these honored guests will receive a 50 percent discount to ride The Wheel.

The 400-foot observation wheel will be lit up in the pattern of the American flag all weekend, with its 64,000 LED lights glowing in red, white and blue.“We’re so thankful for the men and women who have given everything to protect our nation,” said Chris Jaskiewicz, ICON Park president and CEO. “As we reach this milestone anniversary, ICON Park wants to show our appreciation and gratitude for those who serve.”
ICON Park is at the center of the International Drive Resort Area and Orlando Entertainment District. With free parking and conveniently located near I-4, Universal Boulevard and the Beachline, this premiere entertainment complex is easy to access for any Central Florida resident or Orlando tourist.
