When looking for an inexpensive car, many buyers think used is the way to go. It may not be in these times.
Some new cars are actually cheaper than their older counterparts.
“The intuitive logic has been that a used car buy is a better buy,” Edmunds CEO Jeremy Anwyl told the Associated Press. “But consumers need to check reality. It’s very contradictory.”

The average cost of a used, dealer-certified 2008 Honda Accord EX sedan was $21,544 earlier this month, according to Edmunds.com, a car-buying Web site. A brand-new 2009 model cost $80 less.
