A homicide investigation led to a murder arrest after a shooting at Orlando apartments.
On August 24th at approximately 5:00pm, Orlando Police officers responded to a reported domestic-related shooting at Village Springs Apartments located at 5177 Cinderlane Parkway.
Upon arrival, officers located two female victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Both victims were transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center, where they later succumbed to their injuries.
Preliminary investigation indicates one of the victims found at the scene was in a relationship with the suspect. The second victim was a friend of the deceased.
According to OPD, the suspect, Eliette De Jesus Marquez, fled the scene on foot but was apprehended shortly thereafter by TAC officers. He has been charged with two counts of First Degree Murder.
No additional suspects are outstanding at this time, according to local law enforcement.
