A stabbing incident took place on March 4th on the 1500 block of East 8th Avenue in Tampa, and police are actively working to identify the suspect.
The victim in this case, an adult male, was treated and released from the hospital for what were thankfully non-life-threatening injuries.
During the investigation, it was determined that the victim in this case was experiencing homelessness.
In response, officers assigned to patrol as well as those assigned as homeless affairs liaisons have increased their proactive work with the homeless in an effort to generate possible leads in this case and also remind those in need of available resources.

The Tampa Police urge members of our community to report any suspicious activity by contacting the nonemergency line at 813-231-6130 or dialing 911 in case of emergencies.
