Time after time, Central Floridians step up after disasters strike, when neighbors need help. Most recently, the community rallied behind Goodwill Industries of Central Florida’s special Hurricane Ian Roundup initiative – raising at least $16,000 for relief efforts in Southwest Florida.
During a two-week period in October, shoppers had the opportunity to round-up their purchase to the next dollar at checkout. That money will now go to help neighbors in Southwest Florida get back on their feet. The campaign raised the funds at Goodwill Industries of Central Florida’s 31 retail stores in Orlando and Orange, Osceola, Lake, Seminole, Brevard and Volusia counties.
Every sale at Goodwill supports the community through job creation, helping people achieve their goals. And now the nonprofit is extending that goodwill and helping its Southwest Florida partner with additional resources that are needed for recovery.
