Free Admission to Orlando Museum of Art: Access for All

The Orlando Museum of Art (OMA) is partnering with the Art Bridges Foundation to host an Access for All event, offering free admission to the museum on Thursday, May 16th. With a commitment to inclusivity and accessibility, OMA aims to break down barriers and invite all members of the community to experience the transformative power of art.




The Access for All event at the Orlando Museum of Art will take place on Thursday, May 16th, from 10:00am to 8:00pm.

We are thrilled to partner with the Art Bridges Foundation to provide the opportunity for individuals and families from all walks of life to engage with our exhibitions and programs.”

Visitors can expect a diverse range of exhibitions showcasing both local and international artists. There will also be a featured program from Orlando Fringe. Curator Coralie Claeysen-Gleyzon highlighted the significance of this event, saying, “Art has the power to inspire, educate, and unite us. By offering free admission, we hope to welcome new audiences and foster meaningful connections with our collections.”

In addition to free admission, the Access for All event will feature guided tours, interactive workshops, and live demonstrations, providing visitors with opportunities to engage with art in a variety of ways. Whether it’s exploring a new exhibition or participating in a hands-on activity, there will be something for everyone to enjoy.

The museum said that all are welcome to attend and experience the beauty and wonder of art in a welcoming and inclusive environment.

Parking at OMA is always free. Visitors can also access the museum via the Lynx bus system and Sunrail. Founded in 1924, the Orlando Museum of Art is a cultural institution dedicated to inspiring creativity, passion, and intellectual curiosity by connecting people with art and new ideas.

Access for All is a three-year funding initiative to increase access to museums across the country and foster engagement with local communities. The $40 million pilot program supports 64 current Art Bridges Museum partners by covering the costs of admission, outreach, and other efforts that reduce barriers to access.
