Florida Republicans are celebrating flipping Hillsborough County red, noting the Democratic Party lost control of the third largest county in the Sunshine State.
The Florida GOP recently celebrated that Republicans have flipped the county red in voter registration in Hillsborough County, which includes Tampa.
According to the state party, Florida Republicans now lead in 58 out of 67 counties in voter registration.
Republicans are targeting Miami-Dade County as the next likely county to flip red, saying the hard work of Florida GOP grassroots volunteers continues to push forward in registering voters who support commonsense policies and President Donald J. Trump’s agenda.
“Congratulations to the Republican leaders and volunteers of Hillsborough County! Your work has been nothing short of impressive,” said Republican Party of Florida Chairman Evan Power. “President Trump’s Golden Age is upon us, and Florida voters are showing support for his initiatives by registering as Republicans, rejecting the great harm Democrats have inflicted upon our great nation.”
“We look forward to working with our grassroots leaders and supporters in other counties, particularly Miami-Dade, where we are just a stone’s throw away from flipping Florida’s largest county red,” said Power.
