Florida Police Investigate Death of Two Toddlers, Suicide Attempt by Mother

Police are investigating the death of two 3-year-old toddlers and a suicide attempt by the mother in South Florida.



The Miami-Dade Police Department’s Homicide Bureau is conducting a death investigation of two toddlers and a suicide attempt of an adult female, who was determined to be the mother of the children.

According to investigators, uniformed officers from the Intracoastal District responded to a medical emergency call for both children that were unresponsive.

Upon the officers’ arrival, the female that was accompanying the children, jumped over the expressway wall,  fell from a considerable height, and landed on the railroad tracks.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded and transported the toddlers to an area hospital and the female to HCA Florida Aventura Hospital in critical condition. Despite their efforts to save them, medical personnel pronounced both children deceased.

The manner and cause of death will be determined by the autopsy results conducted by the Miami-Dade Medical Examiner.

The deceased children were identified as Milendhet G. Napoleon-Cadet and Milendhere G. Napoleon-Cadet. Shirlene Napoleon Alcimeremained in critical condition as of the last update from authorities.

The investigation continues, according to local law enforcement.
