The Florida Lottery announced that Matthew Fox, of North Palm Beach, claimed a $1 million prize from the $1,000,000 Holiday Ca$h scratch-off game.
The South Florida man chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $606,700.
The Palm Beach winner purchased his ticket from Village Grocery, located at 9271 Prosperity Farms Road in Lake Park in Palm Beach County.
He claimed his winning prize at Florida Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee.
This $20 ticket delivered a top prize of $1 million. With chances to win up to 21 times per ticket, $1,000,000 Holiday Ca$h features more than three million winning tickets and over $125 million in total cash prizes.
There is one top prize remaining according to the Florida Lottery. Overall odds of winning are 1-in-2.68.
Scratch-off games are an important part of the Lottery’s portfolio of games, comprising approximately 74 percent of ticket sales in fiscal year 2023-2024. Additionally, since inception, scratch-off games have awarded more than $70.8 billion in prizes, created 2,475 millionaires, and generated more than $20.98 billion for the state’s Educational Enhancement Trust Fund (EETF).
