The Florida Lottery recently announced that Douglas Gammons, of Mexico Beach, claimed a $1 million prize from the $25,000,000 Gold Rush Multiplier scratch-off game.
The Florida man chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $638,100.
The Bay County winner purchased his winning ticket from Express Lane, located at 714 Highway 98 in Mexico Beach.
He claimed his winning prize at Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee.
The $50 scratch-off game, $25,000,000 Gold Rush Multiplier, features two top prizes of $25 million and sixty prizes of 1 million. This game also features more than $1.2 billion in total cash prizes. There are two top prizes remaining and 37 $1 million prizes remaining according to the Florida Lottery.
The game’s overall odds of winning are 1-in-4.09.
Scratch-off games are an important part of the Lottery’s portfolio of games, comprising approximately 74 percent of ticket sales in fiscal year 2023-2024. Additionally, since inception, scratch-off games have awarded more than $66.9 billion in prizes, created 2,350 millionaires, and generated more than $20.09 billion for the state’s Educational Enhancement Trust Fund (EETF).
