A Florida man won a $1 million prize playing a scratch-off game.
The Florida Lottery recently announced that James Bostick, of Lady Lake, claimed a $1 million prize from the Giant Bucks scratch-off game.
The Central Florida man chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $606,600.
The Lake County winner purchased his winning ticket from BJ’s Wholesale Club, located at 13585 N.E. 86th Path in Lady Lake.
He claimed his winning prize at Florida Lottery headquarters in Tallahassee.
The $5 Giant Bucks game features top prizes of up to $1,000,000 and multiple bonus spots for dynamic play action, including a giant $250 bonus spot.
Overall odds for this scratch-off game are 1:3.75.
Scratch-off games are an important part of the Lottery’s portfolio of games, comprising approximately 74 percent of ticket sales in fiscal year 2023-2024. Additionally, since inception, scratch-off games have awarded more than $70.8 billion in prizes, created 2,475 millionaires, and generated more than $20.98 billion for the state’s Educational Enhancement Trust Fund (EETF).
