A six-car chain reaction crash in Brevard County resulted in several persons being transported to local area hospitals, Florida Highway Patrol said.
Troopers said, six cars were traveling eastbound on New Haven Avenue near D Avenue in Melbourne, when a Ford pick-up truck driven by Brigham Clark, 27, of Indialantic, Florida, struck the rear end of a PT Cruiser.
After the initial collision, 4 other cars were struck.
Troopers said, several persons were transported to local area hospitals with non life-threatening injuries.
Clark was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of drugs.
The crash occurred just after 4:00 pm, on Tuesday.
