A fatal vehicle versus pedestrian crash killed a three-year-old toddler riding his bicycle in Central Florida.

On July 25th just before 7pm, Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the 7500 block of Pitch Pine Circle in Tampa to the report of a toddler who was struck by a vehicle.

The toddler was riding his bicycle with siblings and a parent in the Place One Condominiums parking lot when a Toyota RAV4 turned a corner and struck the child.

The toddler was pronounced deceased at the scene.

“This is a devastating and heart-wrenching tragedy for everyone involved,” said Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister. “Our thoughts and prayers are with the family as they navigate this unimaginable grief.”

At this time, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office said no criminal charges are pending.
