Evans High School will hold a Candlelight Vigil to remember one of its students killed several weeks ago in a pedestrian crash.

Jean Cherilus lost his life when he was hit by a truck while walking in Osceola County.

On February 23, a fundraiser organized by the Evans Student Government Association called the Jean Cherilus’ Celebration of Life and Candlelight Vigil, will take place at the  Evans Ninth Grade Center, 2751 Lake Stanley Road, Orlando from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

The Association said, the event will begin in the Evans cafeteria with entertainment from the Trojans family, including gospel singing, poetry readings and praise dancing.  Tributes will also be paid to Jean’s memory.  The program will end with the Candlelight Vigil outside.

Donations of $5 per person will be collected from attendees for Jean’s family.
