David Barilla has been selected as assistant director of the Downtown Development Board and Community Redevelopment Agency (DDB/CRA).
Barilla’s selection results from a national search which attracted more than 200 applications.
Barilla has served the DDB/CRA for more than two years, most recently as Economic Development Coordinator III, and has distinguished himself as an outstanding performer while working on key projects such as the $165 million 55 West, the new Mad Cow Theater, and critical program initiatives including the DDB/CRA’s development of high-wage, high-value jobs.
Barilla received his undergraduate degree from the University of Central Florida and earned his MBA from the University of Florida.
Prior to joining the City of Orlando’s DDB/CRA, Barilla worked with local and national real estate firms and was a member of the Florida Army National Guard.
