Detectives are searching for a paraprofessional educator/teacher’s aide who they say, is wanted for criminal sexual battery of students that were under his care.
Polk County sheriff’s deputies say, 30-year-old Curtis L. Jiles sexually battered two male students at Tenoroc High School and propositioned two other male students to commit sexual battery and/or prostitution. Jiles performed oral sex on two students, paid them to allow him (Jiles) to perform oral sex on them, and offered to pay them to commit oral sex on them, investigators said.
The students were between the ages of 15-years-old and 17-years-old when he sexually battered them or propositioned them.
Jiles met the four male student victims in his capacity as a paraprofessional educator/teacher’s aide at Tenoroc High School in Lakeland. Investigators also believe there are more victims.
Jiles currently is wanted for eight criminal sexual charges, including sexual battery by a person in custodial authority, unlawful sexual activity with certain minors, procuring a person under the age of 18 for prostitution and soliciting a person under the age of 18 to engage in sexual battery.
Jiles, of 7220 Twin Cedar Lane, in Lake, is avoiding arrest, investigators said.
