Deputies have identified the second woman killed at a Quality Inn off International Drive Thursday morning, when a gunman opened fire killing first, his ex-girlfriend who also worked at the hotel. A third woman who survived, was also shot in the gunman’s shooting spree.
33-year-old Michelet Polynice began his shooting rampage when he entered the Quality Inn on 7400 Canada Avenue just before 8:00 a.m., killed his 28-year-old ex-girlfriend, Carlene Pierre before turning and shooting to death 28-year-old Gonzalez-Orellenes, a co-worker. Â Both women were found dead behind the front desk with gunshot wounds to the head and chest, wdbo.com reports. Â
Pierre was feared for her life and overtime had taken out several restraining orders against Polynice with whom the mother of three, has a child, wdbo.com also reported. Â Â Deputies confirmed Polynice had been served with an Osceola County injunction only one day before the shooting.Â
Polynice then drove a short distance to the Westgate Lake Resorts on 10000 Turkey Lake Road where he again opened fire and shot 31-year-old Jean Guerline, a friend of Carlene’s. Â She survived the shooting.Â
Next, Polynice traveled to the Pine Hills area where deputies say, he shot himself in the head. Â Although positive identification is awaited by the medical examiner, a burnt vehicle with a body believed to be Polynice was found, after it crashed into a tree.Â
The investigation is ongoing.
