Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Debbie Mucarsel-Powell, Congressman Adam Schiff, and Florida Congresswoman Lois Frankel recently hosted a bus tour meet and greet with Palm Beach County voters to talk about the fight to lower costs and protect our freedoms in Florida. Republican Senator Rick Scott attacked the Democrats and said they wanted to bring “California socialism” to Florida.
“As I travel the state, I hear from voters all over Florida telling me they are ready to vote for our rights, our opportunities, and our future,” said Democrat Debbie Mucarsel-Powell. “They are tired of the extremism, chaos, and political division – and they know Rick Scott has done nothing for them in his 14 years in office. Floridians won’t forget that he wrote the plan to rip away seniors’ hard-earned benefits, rob women of their fundamental freedoms, and raise taxes on the middle class. In November, we will build a brighter future together.”

Republican Senator Rick Scott’s campaign said the event showcased two socialists who voted to impeach Donald Trump uniting. Republicans called the California Representative Adam “Shifty” Schiff and said that Debbie Mucarsel-Powell was “on the campaign trail in Florida to fight for California socialism.”
Republicans pointed out that Rep. Schiff and Mucarsel-Powell share nearly identical records, including cosponsoring the Green New Deal, supporting abortion up until the moment of birth, supporting an open border, and voting to impeach President Donald Trump for baseless political points. They complained that both Schiff and Mucarsel-Powell are endorsed by Nancy Pelosi, who Mucarsel-Powell voted with 100% of the time.
“California socialists are uniting today in Florida, a statement from Team Rick Scott Spokesman Will Hampson said at the time. “Mucarsel-Powell and Shifty Schiff are both rubber stamps for Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer’s radical agenda, so it’s no surprise Schiff is taking a vacation to come hangout in Florida and push for socialism here like he’s brought to California. Unfortunately, he’s going to find that Floridians want nothing to do with California Socialism, and will reject his hand-picked Senate candidate DMP in a few short weeks.”
