A Democratic Senate candidate is promising to cut costs and crush corruption in Florida.
U.S. Senate candidate Alex Vindman, a Democrat, officially filed his paperwork at the Division of Elections to qualify for the Florida ballot. The stop was part of his weeklong “Cut Costs & Crush Corruption” Tour around the state of Florida.
The Florida Democratic candidate has not held back in his political attacks on Republicans, including his opponent Senator Ashley Moody.
Alex Vindman, a 21-year U.S. Army combat veteran, said he is running a campaign that is laser-focused on lowering costs for Florida families who are facing skyrocketing gas, grocery, and housing prices, as well as fighting corruption in Washington, D.C. The Democrat said his Republican opponent, who he labels as “career politician” Senator Ashley Moody, has spent her time in Washington cozying up to lobbyists and special interests, trading hundreds of thousands of dollars of Big Pharma stock, and selling out hardworking Floridians.
“Because of career politicians like Ashley Moody, Florida families are paying more for gas, groceries, and homeowners insurance,” said Democratic Senate candidate Lieutenant Colonel (Retired) Alex Vindman. “I’m running for U.S. Senate because I’m not a politician – I’m a combat veteran who will fight to lower costs and end the corruption in Washington, D.C. that is making everything more expensive for Floridians. Floridians deserve a leader who is fighting for them, which is why I will spend from now until Election Day meeting with Floridians in blue, red, and purple areas alike to earn their vote.”
Vindman’s “Cut Costs & Crush Corruption” Tour comes on the heels of a new independent poll that found Vindman and Senator Ashley Moody are now “effectively tied,” as well as a massive Q1 fundraising haul in which Vindman outraised Moody by over $5 million, underscoring early grassroots momentum.
Alex Vindman served his country in the military and as a national security expert working for Presidents of both parties. He and his family left the Soviet Union as refugees when he was three years old in search of freedom and opportunity in America. After a military career that moved him all over the world, Alex and his wife chose Florida as the place to settle with their family.
