Controversial Candidate for Florida Governor Holds Event at UCF

A controversial candidate for Florida Governor is holding an event at UCF in Orlando.

Republican candidate James Fishback is bringing his campaign to the University of Central Florida in Orlando for an event open to the public, not just students. He will explain his plan for “a Florida where children can get a great education at the school of their choice, qualified workers can land a great-paying job, families can own a home, and seniors can retire with dignity.”

James Fishback for Florida Governor will be at the University of Central Florida in the College of Sciences building, located at 12716 Pegasus Drive in Orlando, on April 23rd at 5pm. The event at UCF is free and open to the public. No RSVP is needed to attend.

The Republican candidate is controversial to both political parties and his campaign has proven to be very provocative, but his non-mainstream campaign is attracting attention around Florida and on social media. Fishback has been called racist, he has praised supporters of far-right figures like Nick Fuentes, he has been blunt and outspoken on many issues and topics in defense of controversial speech. He has said things like “I am frequently asked if I believe in separation of Church and State. My answer: Absolutely not.” Between Republican and Democratic attacks on Fishback and his rhetoric, there are honestly too many to list.

He said he embraces the Republican Party of President Donald Trump and that he is a Republican because of Charlie Kirk. James Fishback also believes Ron DeSantis is the best Governor and wants to continue his political agenda.

As Fishback gets attacked from Republicans and Democrats, he made it clear he does not think much of the establishment political parties. “The left and the right wing are both attached to the same uniparty bird,” James Fishback said. “On August 18th, I’m begging you to give me a 12-gauge shotgun to shoot that bird out of the sky.”

The Republican candidate has promised to visit all 67 counties in Florida. This upcoming stop brings him to Orlando to engage with voters in Central Florida.

“I’m a fourth-generation Floridian, and I’m running to make life more affordable for you and your family,” James Fishback says on his campaign website. “I’m fighting so every Floridian can earn a great-paying job, buy a home, raise a family, and retire with dignity. Florida is our home; America is our birthright; and we will never let them steal it from us.”
