A deceased body was recovered from the Hillsborough River earlier this month.
On October 14th, just before 1:30pm, Tampa Police responded to a report of a body observed in the Hillsborough River near Rowlett Park.
Members of the Tampa Police Marine Unit recovered the deceased individual, an adult black male, from the water.
Early in the investigation, local law enforcement said there were currently no obvious indications of foul play.
Detectives were working to positively identify the deceased and inform next of kin.
The Medical Examiner will determine the official cause of death.
