Central Florida Man Indicted for Murder after Fatal Shooting

A Central Florida man was recently indicted for murder after a fatal shooting.

An Osceola County grand jury formally indicted 55-year-old Kevin Duda, of St. Cloud, for First Degree Murder with a Firearm for fatally shooting a man in Kissimmee.

On June 12th, the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office responded to the intersection of Fortune Road and Bill Beck Boulevard for a reported shooting.

When deputies arrived they found shooting victim 44-year-old Nicholas Brank lying next to a bicycle. Medical personnel transported him to the hospital but he died shortly after arrival.

Deputies identified Duda as the suspect and tracked him to a retail store where they took him into custody after a brief foot pursuit.

This month, State Attorney Andrew Bain’s office presented sufficient evidence to a grand jury to secure an indictment against Duda for First Degree Murder with a Firearm.
