The owner of a Central Florida cleaning company was arrested on charges of grand theft, fraud, and multiple counts of dealing in stolen property.
According to the Volusia County Sheriff’s office, 33-year-old Catherine “Katie” Schulz, owner/operator of Clean and Proper LLC in Ormond Beach, was recently arrested after a customer reported several items missing from her home.
Schulz has since posted $10,000 bond, according to local law enforcement.
The Volusia Sheriff’s Office said the stolen items included jewelry totaling $18,500 in value, a pair of adidas sneakers, and medication.
A local detective tracked down the stolen jewelry at a Port Orange pawn shop and obtained video footage showing Schulz pawning the items.
VSO recently issued a theft warning to the community about the incident.
