AirTran Airways and the Orlando/Orange County Convention & Visitors Bureau (OOCCVB) have teamed up on “Orlando Makes Me Smile”.
The Airline has recently customized one of its Boeing 717 aircraft with the OOCCVB’s latest marketing campaign slogans, “Orlando Makes Me Smile”, with the aim of helping to promote travel to the city. Orlando remains one of the world’s top travel destinations, but has seen a drop in airline passenger travel of 6 percent in June largely due to the economic downturn.
“The ‘Orlando Makes Me Smile’ message has been embraced worldwide and represents one of our destinations greatest assets, the lasting memories that make visitors smile. I’m excited for this opportunity with AirTran Airways and truly believe that Orlando’s greatest story is the combination of experiences at a great value that provide smiles to all ages,” said Gary Sain, president and CEO of the OOCCVB.
It is not the first time that AirTran has teamed up with OOCCVB to brand one of their aircraft. Last year, one of the airline’s planes carried the campaign slogan “Say Yes to Orlando”. Both AirTran and OOCCVB have been partners for several years and have collaborated on other major initiatives to promote Orlando.
