On Sunday, Sept. 28, ACORN National President Maude Hurd released the following statement after Congressional leaders announced a $700 bailout plan for Wall Street:
“Members of Congress worked tirelessly over the weekend to rid Wall Street of its toxic assets, which are responsible for the worst financial crisis since the 1930s. Unfortunately, families who fell victim to Wall Street’s toxic lending practices and now risk losing their homes were largely left out. ACORN members are extremely disappointed that the bailout package does little to assist these homeowners, such as providing them relief through the bankruptcy courts. Although weak, there is language in the bailout package authorizing Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson to facilitate more loan modifications. ACORN members plan to hold Secretary Paulson
accountable and ensure he uses this authority to make streamlined loan modifications a priority for struggling American families.”
Is this the same ACORN that has a chapter in Chicago ?
Their main mission as lobbists was to pass legislation allowing non-citizens the right to register to vote. After which they were successful in getting Chicago declared a sanctuary city so no city employees, including the county clerk could ask about their immigration status when they registered.
I thought ACORN was under investigation for voter registration fraud. Could there be two organiztion with the same name?

You are correct…this is the same organization. They are now up to no good in the swing states. Obama has contributed over 800,000 bucks to them and he has worked with and for them for years. The whole thing stinks.

ACORN, used the bulk of its funding (millions) to buy homes for Democrats and to fund voter fraud.
Obama was their lead defense attorney, in defending their voter fraud practices.
In the state of Kansas, they were convicted and admitted that they put tens of thousands of fake voters on the voter rolls so they could steal an election. I know, I got three of those fraudulent voter registration cards at my address!
ACORN is being prosecuted in many states and investigated in many others for the same thing.
NO WONDER, Obama and the Dems want ACORN to get multiple millions in the $700 billion dollar bailout bill!

Unbelievable I have not heard of the fraud and pressure tactics of this group – especially when it comes to VOTER FRAUD. Fraudulent voters are the willful, intentional thieves of democracy. They cancel out the vote of others. They should be put in jail for a long long time.
