In an effort to prevent the spread of HIV, doctors say testing for HIV should now be a part of every routine check-up.
“In the old days, we thought only those people who were considered at risk – people who had blood transfusions, used IV drugs, or engaged in discriminate sexual behavior,” said Dr. Kevin Sherin, Director, Orange County Department of Health, speaking to Cfnews13.com.
The U.S. Preventative Services Task Force recently recommended anyone between the ages of 15 and 65 routinely get an HIV test by their doctors.
