An Orlando motorcyclist was killed early on Wednesday morning, after crashing into gate at a resort in Osceola County.

39-year-old Hector Morales was pronounced dead at Celebration Hospital just after 2:30 a.m., Florida Highway Patrol said.

Morales, who was riding a 2006 Suzuki, made a wrong turn and ended up in the All-Star Music Resort, near Buena Vista Drive and Show Time Drive.

Morales, who was with a group of other bikers, tried to exit the resort but struck a gate that was in the down position.  Morales, who wasn’t wearing a helmet, was thrown off of his motorcycle.  He was transported to Celebration Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The investigation is still ongoing to determine whether or not alcohol played  a role in the crash, FHP said.
