In celebration of the Magic and Chase’s Champions of the Community (COTC) partnership the two teamed up with Magic guard Arron Afflalo, Magic Dancers, STUFF the Magic Mascot and Magic Community Ambassadors Nick Anderson and Bo Outlaw unveiling a refurbished basketball court at Pine Hills Elementary on Saturday, January 19. The restored court will benefit the 800 children who attend the school.
The Magic and Chase also honored Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. with a planting and beautification project prior to the ribbon cutting. The Magic and Chase worked in concert with millions of other Americans across the country to honor Dr. King’s legacy by taking part in service projects on Saturday.
The COTC partnership was announced on Friday, and will bring the Chase experience to fans and customers at Amway Center and seek local outreach opportunities to impact and benefit the Central Florida community. Through the partnership, Chase and the Magic will work to refurbish 10 community sports facilities including Pine Hills’, and work on other community initiatives. Chase becomes the Magic’s seventh COTC partner.
