Ryan Anderson scored 19 points and grabbed 13 rebounds for the Magic.

Orlando known to live and die by the three almost died on this night shooting just 9 for 28. Luckily Howard came to the rescue connecting on 16 of his 20 shot attempts.

“My teammates gave me the ball in the right position to score,” Howard said.

The Magic went on a 7-0 run capped off with a Jason Richardson lay-up giving Orlando an 87-78 lead with just 2:58 left to play.

Toronto went on it’s own 7-0 run to cut the Magic lead to only two, but a Redick three from the corner gave Orlando a five point lead.

“J.J is a guy we really rely on for big moment shots,” Anderson said.

On the following Raptors possession Calderon hit a three with six seconds left but two Redick free throws iced it for the Magic.

DeMar DeRozan led Toronto with 23 points followed by Jerryd Bayless’ 15 and James Johnson chipped in 13.

Despite all the distractions Orlando is now (25-14) and has won 7 of it’s last 10.

Orlando will travel to play the Charlotte Bobcats tonight, tip off set for 7pm.
