The parents of FAMU drum major Robert Champion who died in a hazing attack last November, will sue the bus company that carried students to and from the Florida Classic in Orlando.
An attorney for the family said Monday, there are many unanswered questions related to, how did students get on the bus and how did they manage to remain long enough to haze Champion to death.
According to wesh.com, Ray Land, owner of Fabulous Coach Lines, the bus used to transport the students, said his staff had done everything they could once they were alerted to a problem.
An autopsy conducted by Dr. Jan Garavaglia, Orange/Osceola County Chief Medical Examiner, found that Champion, had “extensive contusions of his chest, arms, shoulder and back with extensive hemorrhage,” likely as a result of a hazing attack he suffered before his sudden death.
Champion 26, died following the Florida Classic game in Orlando last November. His death has been ruled a homicide.
