A freshman University of Central Florida student was found dead in her on-campus dorm room.
18-year-old Ann Marie Herrerin from Maitland, was found by roommates, unresponsive, in their Lake Claire residence around 4:00 a.m. on Thursday.
Emergency units responded almost immediately after a 911 call was placed and CPR performed.
Hefferin was taken to Florida Hospital East where she was pronounced dead.
The cause of the student’s death has not yet been determined.
UCF Police said, the investigation into Hefferin’s death is still ongoing, but they do not believe there is a threat to students and faculty on the campus.
