Dr. Phillips High School Biology Teacher Receives National Award

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the Christopher Columbus Fellowship Foundation and Caliper Life Sciences, Inc. has rewarded biology teacher, Deborah Wasylik, of Dr. Phillips High School, for excellence in the field of life sciences.  Mrs. Wasylik received a $10,000 Life Sciences Educator Award.

The announcement came during the 4th Annual Life Sciences Awards ceremony titled, “Discovery through Innovation: Science in Action.”

Mrs. Wasylik was one of only three secondary school educators chosen from across the country to receive this distinguished award.

Mrs. Wasylik is a National Board Certified Teacher who has been teaching in Orange County Public Schools for 10 years.
