A pedestrian was killed on US 192 near Simmons Road in Osceola County after being struck by a motorcycle just after mid-night on Friday.
Troopers said, Michael Setvin, 44, of St. Cloud was crossing U.S. 192 and was in the center median when he stumbled out into the roadway into the path of a motorcycle driven by Michael R. Hoadley, 52, of St. Cloud.
Hoadley’s 2000 Harley Davidson struck Setvin, who was pronounced dead on the scene.
The impact of the crash caused the motorcycle to land on its right side and slide down about 50 feet down the roadway, troopers said.
Hoadley suffered minor injuries. He was not wearing a helmet.
A passenger on the motorcycle, 45-year-old Mary A. Schneider, sustained serious injuries and was taken to the St. Cloud Hospital. She too, was not wearing a helmet.
FHP is awaiting toxicology results of Setvin to determine if alcohol played a role in the crash.
