The driver of a 1995 Ford pick-up was killed in Lake County when his 1995 Ford motorcycle overturned, after hitting two trees along State Road 19.
Troopers said, 54-year-old Robert David Burdick, of Altoona, Florida, was heading southbound on State Road 19, north of CR 445, when he left the road onto the west shoulder and over-corrected back to the left.
Burdick came back onto the roadway and crossed onto the east shoulder and continued to travel southbound. He struck a tree, then another on the left side, causing the pick-up to overturn onto its roof.
Burdick was killed on the spot.
A passenger, 40-year-old Donna Evans-Lewis of Altoona, suffered serious injuries as a result of the crash and was taken to the Orlando Regional Medical Center, troopers said.
