A Geneva, Florida woman was killed on State Road 46 on Friday in Seminole County, after side-swiping a tow truck and colliding with a Ford vehicle, Florida Highway Patrol said.
39-year-old Helen M. Miller died at the Central Florida Regional Hospital from injuries sustained as a result of the crash.
Troopers said, Miller was heading eastbound on SR 46, over the bridge, west of West Osceola Road in Geneva just after 1:30 pm, when, for an unknown reason she crossed over the double yellow lines, sideswiping a tow truck traveling westbound on SR 26.
Miller’s 2000 Dodge Caravan struck a third vehicle, a 1998 Ford driven by 25-year-old Lambert J. Eichner, which rotated counterclockwise and came to rest hanging off the bridge’s concrete wall.
Miller’s vehicle ended up on the north portion of the bridge facing northeast.
48-year-old Jose M. Torres, of Oviedo, who was driving the tow truck, traveled in a southwesterly direction and struck the bridge’s southern concrete wall.
Miller was taken to Central Florida Regional Hospital where she died of her injuries.
Troopers said, the crash remains under investigation and charges are pending.
