The Holocaust Center will be sponsoring a special program of Music of Remembrance for Kristallnacht on Sunday November 7 at 4 PM. It will be held in the auditorium of the Jewish Community Center, 851 N. Maitland Avenue in Maitland.
The program will feature Lisa Ferrigno, violin; Aaron Hilbun, oboe; Dr. Jesus Alfonzo, viola; David Bjella, cello; and Cantor Jacqueline Rawiszer (CRJ). They will perform a program of vocal and instrumental music that evokes the Jewish community of more than a half-century ago. It will include the works of several Terezin inmates as well as contemporary music based on Holocaust poetry and traditional melodies.
It is open to the public and is free of charge. A brief reception will be held at the Holocaust Center following the program.
