MOAS Announces Dates, Sponsorship Opportunities for Children’s Museum Classic

Event to benefit Charles and Linda Williams Children’s Museum

The Museum of Arts and Sciences (MOAS) today announces sponsorship opportunities for the first annual Children’s Museum Classic benefiting the Charles and Linda Williams Children’s Museum.  The golf tournament, which is being hosted by the MOAS Guild, will be held on April 18, 2011, at the Club de Bonmont course at Plantation Bay Golf & Country Club in nearby Ormond Beach.  The event marks the first time MOAS has held a golf tournament as part of its fundraising efforts and events that annually include the Halifax Arts Festival, Festival of Trees and several other special events throughout the community.

“We are excited to add an annual golf tournament to our fundraising efforts and provide an additional avenue for our community to support the museum, and our Children’s Museum in particular,” said Wayne D. Atherholt, Executive Director of MOAS. “The Children’s Museum is one of the most interactive and educational learning environments for kids in the greater Daytona Beach area, and we are thrilled the golf tournament will provide us with some much needed funding to continue support of our kids programs.”

The Children’s Museum Classic offers several levels of sponsorship with a variety of benefit packages, including golf foursomes, advertising exposure, onsite sponsorship recognition and commemorative gift packs.  Packages ranges from the premier presenting sponsorship level to gold, silver and bronze, as well as golf cart, photo, driving range, tee, hole-in-one, putting contest and pin flag sponsors.

The event also provides a wonderful opportunity for golfers to enjoy one of the area’s premier venues while also supporting a great local program.  Club de Bonmont is one of the area’s top rated golf courses, which has a long history of hosting major events, including sectional qualifying for the U.S. Women’s Open as well as several regional and state golf championships.
