Orange County Sheriff’s deputies are searching for a man, armed with a gun, who robbed the Fifth Third Bank on Lee Road on Friday afternoon.
According to detectives, an unknown male entered the Fifth Third Bank at 1401 Lee Road around 1:06 pm, and approached a teller as she entered the bank. The robber then forced her behind the teller line. Armed with a hand gun, the suspect obtained currency from the other tellers. The suspect then fled the bank possibly in a 4-door silver Mitsubishi. The vehicle had an unknown Florida specialty tag or possibly an out-of-state tag.
The suspect is described as dark skinned, possibly a Hispanic or Black male, about 5′ 7″, weighing about 220 pounds, with a large muscular build. The gunman was wearing all black clothing, black ski mask, sunglasses and was armed with a full size silver revolver.
Detectives said that no one was hurt as a result of the robbery.
