The Florida Lottery announced that Danny Pierce, of St. Petersburg, claimed a $2 million top-prize from the $10 MONOPOLY DOUBLER scratch-off game at Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee.
The Pinellas County man chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $1,597,848.00.
Pierce purchased his winning ticket from Blue Nile Food Market, located at 1600 18th Avenue South in St. Petersburg. The retailer will receive a $4,000 bonus commission for selling the winning scratch-off ticket.
The $10 MONOPOLY DOUBLER features more than $176 million in cash prizes, including eight top prizes of $2 million. The game’s overall odds of winning are one-in-3.51.
Scratch-off games are an important part of the Florida Lottery’s portfolio of games, comprising approximately 77 percent of ticket sales in fiscal year 2021-2022. Since inception, scratch-off games have generated more than $17.77 billion for the Educational Enhancement Trust Fund (EETF).
