The Orange County Sheriff’s Office recently announced the arrest of Jaquan Jones McCrary, who law enforcement says was selling pills as ADHD medication, but they were actually fentanyl.
Not only was McCrary pushing fentanyl locally, he also previously threatened to shoot Orange County law enforcement officers, telling them their vests “can’t stop a .223” rifle round, according to OCSO. This incident reportedly happened after deputies conducted a June 23rd traffic stop near Silver Star Road and Pine Hills Road.
McCrary has now been charged with drug trafficking of fentanyl.
“Great work by our Community Oriented Policing Squad (COPS) deputies in getting these drugs off the street,” OCSO posted.
The Orange County Sheriff’s Office reminds the community that drug dealers may tell you they are selling you real medication, but these drugs that are homemade pressed pills can be filled with fentanyl.
Crime remains a major issue in Orlando and around Central Florida.
