A pedestrian was struck and killed attempting to cross State Road 520 in Brevard County, Florida Highway Patrol said.
Van Summers, 69, of Ponte Vedra Beach was driving in the center lane approaching the green light at Milford Point Drive, when he struck the pedestrian who was crossing the road.
The pedestrian, who has not been identified pending notification of next of kin, was taken to Cape Canaveral Hospital and pronounced deceased.
Summers and two passengers, Jamie Martino, 38, of Melbourne and Emrita Summers, 51, of Ponte Vedra Beach, sustained no injuries.
The crash happened just after 11:30 p.m. on Saturday.
Troopers say, investigation of the crash is ongoing and charges are pending.
