A 2-year-old boy is in critical condition, after a man intentionally threw him from a hotel balcony early on Tuesday morning.
Juan Pablo Maradiaga, 41, threw the toddler from the second story balcony of the Budget Inn located at 307 East Vine Street in Kissimmee, before jumping, investigators say.
Police arrived at the Budget Inn around 12:30 a.m., to find Maradiaga and the boy lying on the ground in the parking lot. Both were flown to local area hospitals.
Maradiaga and the 2-year-old are in critical, but stable condition, police said.
Maradiaga has been charged with attempted murder and once released from the hospital will be transported to jail.
