Inspired by Travis’ visit to Rescue Team One in New York City before his final deployment to Iraq, the Travis Manion Foundation holds a 5K run (and 1 mile family fun run) each September. The annual 9/11 Heroes Run is held to remember, honor and support our men and women in the Armed Services, Police, Firefighter and emergency responder communities who protect and serve our country every day.
Orlando’s second annual race will be held at Central Winds Park, Winter Springs, FL, on September 8, 2013 (Sunday) at 7:30 a.m.
Our local charity partner is Team RWB Florida, a group that brings veterans together in their local communities.
