25-Year-Old Shoots, Kills Elderly Uncle in Cold Blood in Orlando

A man who shot and killed his uncle in cold blood on June 29, was arrested last Saturday, Orange County Sheriff’s deputies said.

Cedric King, 25, charged with first degree murder in death of uncle, Sidney Shepard

Cedric King, 25-years-old, has been charged with first degree murder in the death of Sidney Shepard.

King was living with his uncle on 4813 Deauville Drive, Orlando, when he shot and killed the 64-year-old Shepard around 7:00 pm, on June 29.

Detectives who were called to the home following the shooting, had deemed the death of Shepard suspicious.  Detectives from the outset, believed King was a person of interest early on in the investigation, but were unable to make contact with this criminal.  Last Saturday, July 10,  they received a tip that led them to King.  The suspect was taken into custody without incident.  He was interviewed and King confessed to his role in the death of his uncle.

King is charged with first degree murder in the death of Sidney Shepard and is in the Orange County Jail.

Investigators have not released any further details surrounding the shooting of Shepard, as they continue with their investigation.
