2 Central Florida Murder Cases Solved: 1 Defendant in Custody, 1 Sought

Two Central Florida murder cases were recently solved, with one defendant in custody and one other sought.

The Volusia Sheriff Office Major Case Unit has solved two DeLand-area homicide cases from 2022 and 2023, arresting one defendant and offering a $25,000 reward for the other, Sheriff Mike Chitwood announced.

In the first case, 30-year-old Jasmoray Baugh, of DeLand, has been charged with second-degree murder in the Dec. 11, 2022, shooting death of Korey Woulard, the father of her child.

Using witness information, cell data and surveillance video, detectives determined Baugh followed Woulard after an argument, then shot him in the middle of the road in the 300 block of Chipola Avenue, DeLand.

Baugh was arrested without incident in the DeLand area.

In the second case, 36-year-old Joel Alonzo-Cisneros, whereabouts unknown, is charged with second-degree murder in the Dec. 2, 2023, shooting death of his father-in-law, Hector Hernandez-Pasquale, in the front yard of 808 S. Massachusetts Ave., DeLand.

If you have information, contact the Major Case Unit at 386-254-1537 or [email protected]. A $25,000 reward is available for information leading to the arrest of Cisneros, who is believed to have fled the state of Florida.
