A St. Cloud woman was killed earlier today by a hit and run driver, Florida Highway Patrol said.
Nichole Yeomans, 34, was found on the shoulder of westbound U.S. 192 near Crabgrass Road in Osceola County this afternoon.
Troopers believe that Yeomans was struck by an unknown vehicle traveling westbound on U.S. 192 sometime after 5:00 a.m. on Wednesday.
It is not known whether Yeomans was walking or standing, but she was hit on the right side by the unknown vehicle. Â She was found by her boyfriend who went looking for her.
Troopers also say, Yeomans was carrying a small dog which was found unharmed, east of the crash this afternoon.
This crash remains under investigation.
