George Zimmerman, the neighborhood watch captain who shot dead Trayvon Martin, is getting set to sue NBC over an edited 911 tape, according to the nypost.com.
Zimmerman’s attorneys plan to sue NBC’s top executives, as well as Ron Allen, the reporter on the story.
An NBC internal investigation of the 911 call by Zimmerman prior to his shooting Martin, revealed the tape was edited, the paper also reported. The edit version aired by NBC, made it seem that Zimmerman immediately told police Martin was black, as opposed to him offering this information when responding to questions asked by the dispatcher.
