Woman Arrested after Shooting at Tampa Home

A woman was recently arrested after a shooting at a Tampa home.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office arrested the Tampa woman following a recent domestic-related shooting.

Local deputies with the Domestic Violence Section responded to reports of a shooting at a residence on East Sligh Avenue in Tampa. The investigation revealed that a verbal altercation occurred between the suspect, 30-year-old Nicole Dorsey, and two victims.

As the argument escalated, the two victims exited the home and got into their vehicle parked in the driveway, according to HCSO.

As the victims attempted to leave, Dorsey retrieved a firearm and fired multiple shots at the victims, according to local law enforcement.

No injuries were reported, and the vehicle was not struck by gunfire.

Investigators executed a search warrant at the residence where they found a firearm, three spent shell casings, and ammunition.

“We have zero tolerance for anyone who uses a firearm to threaten lives or escalate a dispute,” said Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister. “This kind of violence will be met with immediate action, and those responsible will be held fully accountable under the law.”

Dorsey was arrested and charged with: Shooting At Within or Into a Vehicle, Aggravated Assault with Deadly Weapon (x2), Attempted Aggravated Battery with Deadly Weapon (x2), Attempted Murder in the Second Degree Firearm – Discharge (x2), and Battery.

This is an active investigation, according to local law enforcement.
