Wells Fargo plans to cut an additional 1,800 employees from its mortgage department in locations across the country, according to news reports.
In August, the bank, one of the largest in the nation, laid off 2,300 from the same department.
A spokesperson for Wells Fargo said, the job cuts in the mortgage department have arisen because, fewer people than anticipated are refinancing their mortgages.
